Swagelok Netherlands

What is important in the design, maintenance and use of sample systems?

By participating in Swagelok's hands-on training courses, you will learn the intricacies of developing efficient sampling systems and sampling. You will learn to recognize and fix existing problems in your systems. This will make you proficient in improving performance and increasing efficiency. Regardless of whether your role is in designing, constructing, operating or maintaining sampling systems; sample system triage will give you the insights needed to improve your procedures.

There are 2 training courses on this topic:

Swagelok® Sampling System Problem Solving and Maintenance (SSM) training

addresses the various common problems with sampling systems. From the process line to sample discharge.

Topics covered:

  • Recognizing and diagnosing common design flaws in sampling systems that lead to excessive delays and unrepresentative samples
  • The formulas, calculations and engineering principles that aid in adequately diagnosing sampling systems for process analysis and tuning for optimal performance
  • Maintaining the sampling system with minimal errors and greater system integrity
  • Diagnosing existing sampling system designs and recommending corrective actions

Who is this training for?

Anyone who diagnoses, troubleshoots and maintains sampling systems, including sampling system and analyzer technicians, process analyzers, maintenance personnel and system engineers. Also new team members who need basic training.

When is this training?

The SSM training will be on October 2-3, 2025

"Instructive training and fine clear explanations from Mr. Laan, who has a lot of experience"
participant SSM Training
"Excellent training, fits well with daily work of technician"

Swagelok® Process Analyzer Sampling System (PASS) training

addresses the design and optimization of process analyzer sampling systems, using design principles necessary to avoid costly sample system errors. Participants learn how to design and build an optimized process analyzer sample system that produces timely and accurate results. This course content is derived from the technical reference book "Industrial Sampling Systems" by industry expert and consultant Tony Waters.

Topics covered:

  • How a sampling system operates, from the process line and drain to conveyor lines, sample switching processes, sample conditioning, analyzer and discharge processes.
  • How to identify the cause of problems related to system design.
  • Technical principles, formulas and calculations that form the basis for good sample system design.
  • How to optimize your sample system, prevent sample system errors and ensure accurate process analyzer values.

Who is this training for?

This training is suitable for systems and design engineers, chemists, integrators, highly skilled technicians and anyone with an engineering background interested in the basics of designing, building, operating or maintaining sample systems. Both newer team members seeking basic training and experienced professionals looking to refresh their knowledge.

When is this training?

The PASS training will be on October 6-10, 2025

"Now I know why sample system fail often, and how to avoid"
participant PASS Training
"Intense but complet, very informative"
participant SSM Training
