About the position

Make the difference as Market Manager
As Market Manager, you are ultimately responsible for the commercial development of the Oil, Gas & Chemicals market segment. You set the strategic course, translate market trends into concrete plans and ensure that your team works together optimally. This makes you indispensable for Swagelok Netherlands: you connect people, knowledge and market opportunities. You work closely with sales, engineering and customer service and report directly to the commercial director. Besides your management tasks, you maintain contact with a number of key accounts, with whom you build long-term partnerships.
 
In short, you are successful in:
  • developing and executing the market strategy for Oil, Gas & Chemicals;
  • Managing, coaching and connecting a multidisciplinary commercial team;
  • ensuring optimal cooperation between sales and product development, so that strategy and innovation reinforce each other;
  • analyzing and translating market and customer information into concrete commercial actions;
  • maintaining relationships with strategic customers and network partners;
  • realizing growth, cooperation and a strong market position.

Will you also tick off this checklist?
  • university degree, preferably in commercial economics or business administration
  • At least 7 years of commercial experience, preferably within the oil, gas or chemical sector;
  • at least 3 years of experience in a commercial management role;
  • proven success in strategic business development and key account management;
  • excellent command of Dutch and English.
Your work area
You are based in Waddinxveen, but your working area is nationwide with Rotterdam as an important focus area. From the modern office of Swagelok, close to the A12 and easily accessible from Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Gouda, you are regularly on the road to customers and partners throughout the Netherlands. The office offers modern facilities, spacious workplaces and a collegial atmosphere where knowledge sharing and cooperation are key. You will also find the warehouse and assembly in Waddinxveen.
